Choosing a Pilates class should feel intuitive — not intimidating.

At Living Well Pilates, classes are intentionally designed to support different stages of practice. Rather than pushing everyone into the same experience, we offer a thoughtful progression that allows clients to build strength, confidence, and awareness over time.

If you’re wondering where to begin — or how to progress — this guide breaks down our classes and who each one is best suited for.

Calm Waters

Best for: Beginners, those returning to Pilates, and anyone wanting a strong foundation

Calm Waters is our introductory Pilates class and the starting point for most clients.

This class focuses on the essentials: movement, breath, alignment, and body awareness. The pace is supportive and intentional, allowing you to learn the principles of Pilates without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

You’ll work on:

  • Core stability and control

  • Proper alignment and posture

  • Breath-supported movement

  • Building confidence in the reformer

Calm Waters is ideal if you are:

  • New to Pilates

  • Returning after time away

  • Looking to refine the basics

  • Wanting a steady, grounding class environment

This class creates a calm, confidence-building entry into Pilates and prepares you safely for more dynamic movement when you’re ready.

Flowing Currents

Best for: Clients ready to deepen strength, balance, and fluidity

Flowing Currents builds on the foundation established in Calm Waters.

This class introduces more dynamic sequences while maintaining the intentional, controlled approach Pilates is known for. You’ll experience increased challenge through functional movement, balance work, and extended core engagement.

Flowing Currents focuses on:

  • Strengthening through movement flow

  • Challenging balance and stability

  • Connecting strength across the whole body

  • Expanding confidence in more complex patterns

This class is a good fit if you:

  • Feel comfortable with foundational Pilates

  • Want to increase strength without losing control

  • Enjoy a sense of rhythm and progression

  • Are ready for more challenge, while still moving mindfully

Flowing Currents keeps the practice alive — strong, fluid, and connected.

Endless Depths

Best for: Experienced clients seeking advanced practice and mastery

Endless Depths is reserved for experienced Pilates practitioners and represents the most advanced level of work offered at the studio.

This class explores intricate movement patterns with a heightened demand for strength, control, precision, and body awareness. Because of the complexity and intensity of the work, studio approval is required before participating.

Endless Depths is designed for those who:

  • Have a strong Pilates foundation

  • Move confidently through complex sequences

  • Are ready for advanced physical and mental challenge

  • Want to refine technique and deepen mastery

For those who are ready, this is where practice becomes more nuanced and intentional — a place to explore depth rather than speed.

How to Know Where You Belong

If you’re unsure where to start, here’s a simple guide:

  • Brand new or returning? Start with Calm Waters

  • Comfortable with the basics and ready to progress? Try Flowing Currents

  • Highly experienced and seeking advanced work? Endless Depths (with approval)

And if you’re ever unsure — ask. Guidance is part of the experience.

Pilates That Progresses With You

At Living Well Pilates, classes aren’t designed to rush you forward — they’re designed to grow with you.

Whether you’re beginning gently, building strength steadily, or exploring advanced movement, the focus remains the same:

  • Move with intention

  • Build strength thoughtfully

  • Stay connected to your body

Pilates isn’t about doing more.

It’s about moving well — and letting that support how you live.
