Yes, grip socks are required. Grip socks help keep you safe, stable, and supported during your workout. The non-slip soles provide extra traction on the reformer and studio floors, reducing the risk of slipping or injury—especially during balance-focused movements. They also help keep our equipment clean and hygienic for everyone. We recommend Pilates-specific socks with rubberized grips on the bottom. If you don’t have a pair, don’t worry—we have some available for purchase in the studio.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in and prepare your equipment.

A Pilates reformer is a spring-based machine that supports your body through smooth, resistance-based movement. It includes a moving carriage, adjustable springs, and straps for arms and legs. It’s incredibly effective for improving core strength, posture, flexibility, and control-with less impact on your joints than traditional workouts.
Mat Pilates uses just your body weight on a mat, while reformer Pilates uses spring resistance on a machine for added support and challenge. Reformer work allows for more variety and precision, making it ideal for beginners and seasoned movers alike.
